A few things people often ask before their first visit.
Do I need a referral for an appointment?
No referral is required for any of our appointments.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely works best. However; you will be appropriately draped no matter what you wear.
How do I book or reschedule?
Book online anytime via our Cliniko booking page, or contact the studio. You can reschedule the same way. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule so we can offer your time to someone else.
What services are excluded from the 10% Wellness Social Club benefit for Soma Studio clients?
The exclusive 10% Wellness Social Club benefit for Soma Studio clients applies to almost all Wellness Social Club services undertaken on the same day as your Soma Studio appointment. The only exclusions are IV Vitamin Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Do you accept private health insurance rebates?
Yes. We accept all major private health funds for Osteopathy and Remedial Massage appointments.
If your extras cover includes these services, you can usually claim your rebate on the spot using HICAPS, making the process quick and easy.
If you're unsure what you're covered for, we recommend contacting your health fund before your appointment to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.
Do you accept GP Team Care Arrangements (Care Plans) for Osteopathy?
Yes. We accept GP Team Care Arrangements (TCAs) (formerly known as Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans) for Osteopathy.
If your GP has referred you under a valid Team Care Arrangement, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on your consultation. A gap fee may apply depending on your appointment type.
Please bring your referral details to your first appointment, and our team will help guide you through the claiming process.
For Medicare-funded allied health sessions:
Your GP must first prepare a Team Care Arrangement.
Your GP must provide a referral that specifies Osteopathy as the referred service and Soma Studio / Dr Charles Robinson as the provider and is signed and dated in accordance with Medicare requirements.
Patients are eligible for up to five Medicare-funded allied health sessions per calendar year, shared across all eligible allied health providers.
How do I book a joint package with Soma Studio and Wellness Social Club?
Booking a joint package can be done in one of two ways:
If the package is available on the Soma Studio website, simply book it online. The package pricing and inclusions will be applied automatically.
If the Wellness Social Club service you'd like isn't available as a joint package on the Soma Studio website, but is eligible for the 10% Wellness Social Club benefit, book your Soma Studio appointment online and then contact Wellness Social Club directly to book your second service. They'll apply the 10% discount to your booking, and you'll pay in person on the day.
